InTempo’s Enterprise rental software was named in the category Best SaaS Product for ERP; Enterprise’s new user interface earned placement in the category Best UX/UI/Design in a SaaS Product.

InTempo and TMW Systems Collaborate to Bring Dispatch Management Software to Rental Businesses

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. July 31, 2017 – InTempo Software announced the integration of its Enterprise rental management software solution with TMW Appian FinalMile solutions from TMW Systems.   

The combined power of Enterprise and TMW’s Appian FinalMile solution enables InTempo customers to efficiently schedule and optimize routes; capture electronic signatures upon delivery; take photographs of equipment to document condition; deliver an enhanced customer experience through SMS and e-mail status updates; and report on key metrics, including planned versus actual delivery times. The add-on features are optional for Enterprise users.

Jack Shea Announces His Retirement from InTempo Software

SPRINGFIELD, MA., May 31, 2017 – Following a distinguished career of over 50 years, Jack Shea announced that he is stepping down from his role as a Business Development Executive, though he continues to serve as a consultant at InTempo. Widely considered to be a “godfather” of rental software, Jack was instrumental in ushering in the era of computerization across the industry.  

Upon arriving at Taylor Rental as a Certified Public Accountant in 1973, Jack worked to computerize internal operations and to provide franchisees with better information. Acting on his belief that there was a substantial benefit to be gained by having a point of sale system in a rental business, he founded Solutions by Computer in 1982. Solutions quickly earned accolades for its CounterPro® software line, which enabled rental businesses to efficiently track inventory and calculate charges accurately—revolutionary developments at the time. The product continued to evolve over the years, and was followed by the introduction of Enfinity® (now InTempo Core) in 2005. Solutions was acquired by Constellation Software in 2008, and in 2015 the company joined forces with a portion of Wynne Systems, also owned by Constellation, to form InTempo Software. Jack has been honored with many awards over the years, including the American Rental Association’s prestigious Special Service Award. 

 “Jack has been an outstanding ambassador not only for the InTempo brand, but for the advancement of technology in general,” said John Bureau, General Manager of Wynne Systems. “He opened the eyes of an entire generation, myself included, to the power of computing in this industry. His passion and dedication inspired many of us over the years and he will be missed by all of those who had the opportunity to work with him.”

Rental Industry Expert Doug Berkeley Joins InTempo as Account Manager

SPRINGFIELD, MA., March 28, 2017 -- InTempo Software is pleased to announce its recent hire of Doug Berkeley, who will join the InTempo team as an Account Manager. In this role, Doug will help new and existing customers grow their businesses by connecting them to technology solutions.

Doug Berkeley InTempo SoftwareDoug is a well-known figure in the rental industry, with experience working both behind the counter and in a technical role. The first seven years of his career were spent at equipment rental software provider Wynne Systems, where he gained a broad set of skills as a customer support analyst. Most recently, Doug was employed at Mashburn Equipment in Ringgold, Georgia. While at Mashburn, Doug managed day to day operations of inventory processes and procedures, as well as human resources, billing, accounts receivable/collections, and payroll. He also served as the in-house InTempo Enterprise expert, further deepening his extensive knowledge of the system.
